Josephine Majoria Ledet

A long time parishioner of Visitation of Our Lady Parish in Marrero, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Ernest Irvin Ledet, her brothers, Murphy E. Majoria and John H. Majoria and her son-in-law, Charles G. Eberhardt.
Mother of Brenda L. Eberhardt, Robert “Bobby” Ledet & Debbie, Charlene L. Esteves & Glynn; Sister to: Anthony “Tony” S. Majoria & Peggy, Camille “Dubby” M. LeBlanc & Lee, Leona B. Majoria (Murphy), and Mamie S. Majoria (John). Josie is also survived by six grandchildren: Keith C. Eberhardt & Cheryl, Kevin C. Eberhardt, Kristine E. Aguilar & Kevin, Karin T. Eberhardt, Kyle C. Esteves, and Wyatt M. Esteves as well as three great-grandchildren: Ian A. Aguilar, Anna M. Aguilar, Alaina C. Aguilar and many relatives and friends.
Special thanks to the staff of St. Francis Villa and to Guardian Angels Hospice. Their loving care was unparalleled especially during these last few months.
Josie was an active member of her parish, a charter member of the St. Thomas More Kaycee Auxiliary, and a member of the Harvey Golden Age Society. She was devoted to her family and her church. Her sewing skills led her to becoming the Baptismal Gown supplier for Visitation of Our Lady. Many babies have worn her wonderful blankets and bibs, and many households have been decorated with her holiday crafts. She will certainly be sadly missed by a host of family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 9 AM to 12 Noon. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna, LA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Guardian Angels Hospice, 825 Little Farms Ave., Metairie, LA 70003.
