Josephine Biondillo Martin was reunited with her late husband Lehman A. Martin, Sr. in heaven on Sunday, October 14, 2012. Josephine was born December 16, 1919 and was the daughter of the late Jack Biondillo and Camella Pataglio. She was a lifelong resident of Harvey, LA and a devoted parishioner of St. Rosalie Church. Josephine Martin is survived by her two sons Lehman Jr. and Pat Martin, three grandchildren, Lana, Scott and Steven and four great grandchildren Isabella, Hank, Wyatt and Seth. Josephine was a proud patriotic salt of the earth woman with down to earth values and an overwhelming pride for her family and friends. As a young girl she was called to help with the war effort and went to work at Higgins Shipyard building Higgins boats for the Army. Her stern work ethic carried throughout her life as she moved from different jobs making ends meet through the difficult times of The Great Depression and through her retirement. Her greatest achievement to her was her family and friends. There were no finer moments in life to her than sitting around the kitchen table eating spaghetti and swapping stories or just talking about your day. Josephine Martin will be truly missed by everyone who knew her and were fortunate enough to share a meal and a story.
