Joyce Ansardi Blaize

Joyce Elizabeth Ansardi Blaize entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, in the presence of her loving family and her Lord and Savior. Beloved wife of the late Walter J. “Pat” Blaize. Daughter of the late Edward Ansardi, Sr. and Rhea Cosse Ansardi. Devoted mother of Walter “P.J.” Blaize, III, and Pamela Dickinson (Bryan), Patti Buras (B.B.), and Ann Ollendike (Bill). Grandmother of Jacob and Patrick Dickinson, Elizabeth Dickinson Audibert, Tiffany Buras Baggot, Brett Buras, Jacques and Andrea Blaize, and Juliana and Blaize Lednicky and 7 great-grandchildren. Sister of Ed Ansardi Jr. and the late Ray Carl (Pete) Ansardi. Aunt of Rachele Ansardi, Christopher Ansardi, and the late Ray Ansardi, Jr. as well as great nieces and nephews. Joyce was 84 years, a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish, and resided in Abita Springs following hurricane Katrina. Mrs. Blaize attended Holy Angels Academy in New Orleans and St. Joseph Academy in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. She attended Soule Business School and returned to Buras, LA where she married. Her four children were the passionate work of her life instilling in them her strong faith and deep love for family. She was an avid gardener, loved nature, decorating, and traveling. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 8968 Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 9:30 AM until Mass time at 11:30 AM.
