Joyce Encardes Chiasson

Joyce Encardes Chiasson, 72 years old, of Westwego, LA passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016, entered into eternal rest in heaven after battling a good fight with cancer. She passed away in her own home surrounded by her devoted family. Surviving are her husband, Gus A. Chiasson; daughter Karen Brown (Steve); son Troy Chiasson (Tiffanie). Preceded in death by her son Kevin Chiasson. She was Nana to four grandchildren, Alex Brown (fiancee, Kristina) Ashley Brown, Amelia and Peyton Chiasson. Additionally she was the aunt of Debbie Tacea Stice and Belinda Meyer Toups. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Redemptorist High School in New Orleans. She worked at Avenue C Clinic for many years, Westbank Primary Care, and Westcare Medical Center in Marrero. She was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Westwego. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Westwego, LA on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11am.
