Joyce Claire Clark

Joyce Buras Clark, 88, born on July 23, 1924, was surrounded by her family when she reached out and took the Lord’s hand to follow him home on Thursday, November 29, 2012.She was the loved and cherished wife of the late Arnold A. Clark. The loving mother of Raymond A. Clark, Clayton T. Clark Sr. (Dianne), Linda C. Pollard (the late Jerry), and the late Terril A. Clark Sr. (Susie). She was the daughter of the late Henry Faldin Buras and the late Hilda Conaway Buras. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her brother Henry F. Buras Jr., her two sisters Antoinette “Merle” Scarabin and Flora Mae Buras, her granddaughter Rachel D. Clark, her grandson Raymond A. Clark Jr., and her granddaughter Jennifer Clark. Joyce was a lifelong resident of Buras, La. Family was very important to her and her memory will forever be cherished by them all. She loved to crochet, read her scriptures, and visit with her family and friends. She never met a stranger; she welcomed everyone with open arms and became “Grandma” to them all. Her family would like to welcome any family and friends who may like to help lay her to rest on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA and her burial will immediately follow at Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery in Buras.
