Joyce Marie Lopez Gros

Joyce Marie Lopez Gros passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at LCMC West Jefferson Medical Center at the age of 93.

She is the daughter of the late Rudolph Sidney Lopez and Eunice Marie Bourg Lopez, the wife of the late Randolph Peter Gros, Mother of Pamela Gros Desselle, Randy Paul Gros and and Brian Andrew Gros, the grandmother of Renee' Catherine Gros Civile (Tiago) and Russ Phillippe Gros. She is the sister of the late Lynn Lopez, the late Iris Cascio (Angelo), the late Myrtis Chimento (Charlie), and the late Sherry Pourciau (Lynn), the sister-in-law of Virgin Allemore (Robert), the late Jesse Gros (Jeanne), the late Freddie Gros (Evelyn), the late Louis Gros (Levia), the late Hilda Gomez (Clifton), and the late Mary Bumgarden (Bob). She was an aunt and great aunt to many.

She and her husband were the former proprietors of Avenue A Supermarket in Marrero for many years, and both retired from the Jefferson Parish School System.

The Family would like to thank her family, friends, and the staff of LCMC West Jefferson Medical Center, Ochsner, and Concerned Care Home Health.

Visitation will be held on January 18, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM followed by a Christian Mass at 1:30 PM Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. Interment will be Private.
