J.T. Simon Jr. went home to Jesus on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the age of 76. Beloved husband and friend of Marilyn Simon. Father of Jay Simon III (Missi), Shelly Simon Holland (Clint), Jamie Boudreaux and Tommy Boudreaux Jr. Son of the late, J.T.Simon and Nelva St. Romain Simon. Brother of Linda Nell S. DiVicenti (Roy), Wayne S. Simon (Suzanne), Kerry P. Simon (Dorothy), and Jo S. Stark (Robert). Grandfather of Elise, Peter, Becky, Larry, Tori, Tara, Amelie and Olivia. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. He was an accountant for over 50 years at the family’s business, J.T. Simon Enterprises. He loved spending time with his family and traveling. He was always joking and laughing and he touched so many lives spanning multiple generations and helped everyone he could. He will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him. He was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 1pm. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 10am until 1pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Carter Davis and all of the nurses and support staff at The Gayle & Tom Benson Cancer Center and Ochsner Westbank infusion for their excellent care during his illness.
