Juan Nieves

Juan Nieves passed away on September 24, 2013 at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of Vilma Peralta Nieves. Father of Hector Nieves (Stacy). Step-father of Leibo, Jarred and Adi Raibatein. Grandfather of Lucy Nieves, Shannen Nieves Sandoval, Jason Nieves, Hector Nieves Jr. and Joshua Nieves. Great-grandfather of Cody, Calli, Kade, Jose, Alexia, Jason Jr., Victoria and Giovanni. Great-great-grandfather of Jonathan Jr. and Trestyn. Brother of Patricia Santiago and Demetrio Nieves Jr. Preceded in death by his parents, Gregoria Garcia and Demetrio Nieves. He is also survived by many other loving family members and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
Juan served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and later retired as a AB (Able-bodied Seaman) in the Merchant Marine.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, September 30, 2013 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
