Juana Olivares Gongora

Beloved Juana Olivares Gongora passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family and was guided by her angels on July 6, 2014 at the age of 82. She was the wife of the late Renato Gongora, Sr. Devoted mother of the late Marisela, surviving children, Maria “Lupita” Powers, Renato Gongora, Jr. (Christina), Orfelinda “Orfy” Richard, Gricelda “Chela” Landry (Rob), Wsvaldo “Walter” Gongora (Shawna), 23 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Special thanks to extended family and friends, Daniel, Shannon, Kenneth, William “Bill”, Niki, Louie, Carole, Paul, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins and Heart of Hospice. She was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother and sister who treasured her family and a loyal faithful servant to the Lord. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 11 AM. Interment, Garden of Memories, Metairie, LA. Parlors will be open Thursday from 9 AM until 11 AM.
