Judith Collette Brackvitch

Judith Collette Brackvitch passed on Monday April 2 at the age of 69. She was the daughter of the late Eldon Peter and Marion Knight Collette, and sister of the late Jan Collette Heart. Survived by her daughters and their spouses: Tiffany DeVillier, Toni and David Martin, Brenda and Bryan Evans, Meghan and Brett Champagne, Katie Brackvitch. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 3 nieces and nephews, 4 great nephews, her dear friend Roxanne Bejma, and her beloved dogs Molly and Lily. Raised in McDonoghville, resident of Gretna, Judy spent 43 years educating young children as dedicated teacher. Mentor to many aspiring professionals, she used her unique style of teaching to motivate her students to maximize their potential, and her loss will be felt by the many lives she touched. Family and friends are invited to attend the service on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 1:00 at Gates of Prayer Synagogue 4000 W. Esplanade Ave, Metairie, LA 70002. Burial to follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
