Judith "Judy" Blanchard Biggs

Judith “Judy” Blanchard Biggs passed away peacefully on July 21, 2023 at the age of 83. Loving mother of Kim Dumas (Darrell), Michael Biggs, Brian Biggs (Laurie), and Jennifer Hotard (Ken). Grandmother of Rory, Lindsay, Stephanie, Kellee, Glenn, Jordan, Jeffrey, Leanne, Jacque, Zachary, Beau, Katie, Emma, and Annie. Also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Patrick Spohn Biggs; daughter, Tina Biggs; parents, Doris Domangue Blanchard and Felix Blanchard; sisters, Eleanor and Dolores and her brother, Pete.

Judy worked for over 30 years as Office Manager for Our Lady of Good Harbor Catholic Church in Buras, LA where she also served in the choir. Following Hurricane Katrina, she became active at St. Ann Catholic Church in Empire where she served as Eucharistic Minister, lector and sacristan. 

A visitation will be held at St Patrick Catholic Church, 28698 LA-Hwy 23 in Port Sulphur, LA on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 9am to 10:30am. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery in Buras.
