Julia Vinet Babineaux

November 10, 1931 — October 7, 2014

Julia Vinet Babineaux, a native of New Orleans, LA and a longtime resident of Marrero, LA, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Antoine Babineaux for 58 years. Loving mother of Rhonda Babineaux Calecas and Grandmother of Danielle and Stephanie Calecas. Sister of Victor Vinet, Christopher Vinet, Pearl Collins, Mary Collins, Catherine Vinet, Josephine Forest, Frances Martin, Rebecca Vinet, the late Marcel Vinet and Lena Pellagalle. Daughter of the late Sandu LaChute Vinet and Marcel Vinet. Mrs. Babineaux was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, Westwego, LA. She considered her most important job as being a loving wife, mother and Maw Maw. She had a large extended family and she cherished the times that were spent with them. Julia will be dearly missed by all. She was an avid Bingo Player and loved to join her friends at Azalea Hall.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 1:30 PM. Interment, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego, LA. Parlors will be open Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 6 PM until 10 PM and again on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 9 AM until 1:30 PM.
