Julia Oakman Smith

Julia Oakman Smith passed into eternal rest on May 2, 2015 at the age of 86. Daughter of the late Esther Amelia Ingulia Oakman and Jules Oakman. Beloved mother of Tannya Juge, Richard Rodriguez, Sylvia LaBauve, and Linda Muhleisen, and the late Frankie Rodriguez. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she dearly loved. Julia “Judy” was the proprietor of Tastee Donuts on Ames Blvd. in Marrero for over 25 years, where she was a longtime resident. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 PM until 9 PM and Friday morning from 8 AM until funeral time.
