Karen Lynn Bernard

Karen Lynn Bernard was born on November 15, 1962 and entered into eternal rest peacefully on August 8th, 2024. 

She was preceded in death by her mother Carolyn Bourg Bernard. 

Karen is the sister of, Everett Bernard III (Julia), Michael Bernard (Tricia), Monica Bernard (Gordon) & Veronica Vinson (Rob). She is the aunt of Kyle, Zachary, Tory, Michael Jr., Eve, Madisson, Alivia & Asia. She is the great aunt of Kyle Jr. & Greyson. Karen also leaves behind a magnitude of family & friends. 

Karen was a diehard SAINTS fan & sports fanatic. She loved spending time with her family & friends. She enjoyed cooking for her family, friends & coworkers, going to the casino and of course watching all Sports. She enjoyed her weekly card game & dinner with family & friends as well. 

Karen was an employee with Atmos Energy for over 34 years, where she was a Senior Administrative Assistant. 

Her daily “Good Morning” post will be missed by all. May you rest easy & fly high with the Angels. We know our mom was waiting to greet her at the gates of Heaven. 

A celebration of her life will be held on August 24th, 2024 from 1-4 P.M. at Oakdale Playground (Big Room), located at 650 Wall Blvd. Gretna, La. 70056.
