Katherine Strahan Hart

August 28, 1952 — November 19, 2011

Katherine S. Hart, Wife, Mother and Grandmother, died in Lafitte, LA after a hard fought battle with cancer. Mrs. Hart was born in Gladewater, TX and grew up in Gretna, LA before moving to Lafitte to raise her family. She is survived by her loving husband of twenty-six years, Steven R. Hart, Sr., a lifelong Westbank resident. Mrs. Hart was the mother of four children, Fredy (Michelle) Belsom, III, Jesse Belsom, Christopher Belsom and Steven Hart, Jr. Mrs. Hart was also the Grandmother of John Schoell, JR., Cameron Schoell and Fredy Belsom, IV. Mrs. Hart is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther (Bettye Jo Crawford) Strahan of Ruston, LA, formerly residents of Gretna, LA, and her twin brother, Kenneth (Lilly) Strahan and Sister-in-law, Candace Strahan. She was preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Thomas Strahan and James Strahan and her father-in-law, Randall F. Hart. She is also survived by her Mother-in-Law, Esther L. Hart, sister-in-law Sandra (James) Ackerley, brother-in-law, Michael (Moon) Hart, Doyle Hart and Garland (Suzanne) Hart and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 3 PM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 PM until 3 PM.
