Kathleen Duhon Courtney peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the age of 65. Beloved wife of the late Patrick Courtney. Daughter of the late Junius F. Duhon, Sr. and Anna C. Duhon. Loving mother of Shane LeMaire (Tina) and Aaron LeMaire. Grandmother of Kayla, Christian, Rylee, Lillian and Caleb. Great Grandmother of Isaiah and Malaysia. Sister of Bobby Duhon (the late Janet), Butsie Duhon (Sandy), Anna D. Ponthier (Rory), Diane D. Tassin (Keith), the late Junius F. Duhon, Jr. (the late Sandra) and the late Joe Duhon (the late Carol). Kathleen is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a resident of Gretna, Louisiana until residing at Marrero Health Care Center for the last 17 and a half years. She was a BINGO Queen, an avid Saints Fan, and looked forward to holidays, especially MARDI GRAS. She is remembered by her sweet 'Thank You's and long fight for life. She was the sweetest and most courteous person you would ever want to meet. She would brighten up a room with her presence. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, Louisiana.
