Kay Don Norman

Kay Don Norman passed away on November 20, 2014 at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of 31 years to Doris Bruce Norman. Father of Desiree Norman, Troy-Don Norman (Jennifer) and Shawn Norman (Nicole). Step-father of Enis Cheramie Jr., Pamela Ballew (Steven) and Lisa Myers (Michael). Son of Mildred Johnston Norman and the late Lawrence L. Norman. Brother of Frieda White. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, 9 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Don was a native of Centralia, IL and resided in Westwego, LA. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a switchman for the Central Illinois Railroad and later as a welder for Sub Sea and worked with Lowery Brothers and Black and Decker. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Ochsner Hospital Main Campus, Dr. Canfield and staff at Ochsner Lapalco and Serenity Hospice for their care and compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 10 AM to 1:30 PM.
