MSgt. Kemp C. Landry, U.S. Army (Ret.) passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the age of 96 years. Beloved husband of the Late Eunice LaFrance Emenes Landry & Elsie Isensee Landry. Son of the Late Elvie Percle Landry & Alfred J. Landry, Brother of the Late Hazel Landry, Hope Wilcox, Amy Templet & Turner Landry. Father of Cynthia & Helmut Landry and the late Gary Landry. Stepfather of Lisa, Penny, Earline, Lydia & Loretta. Kemp leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grand children, nieces & nephews, his extended family, Dennis and Connie Schultz. Kemp had a special bond with his nephew M.J. Wilcox. He was born in Labadieville, LA and resided in Kenner for 30 years. Kemp was a U.S. Army veteran who served his country in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He served from 1937-1962 and earned the rank of Master Sergeant. Kemp was later employed by Jefferson Parish as a Lift Station Inspector for 10 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 9 AM to 1 PM. A Prayer service will follow.
