Kenneth Paul Richard

Kenneth Richard, a devoted father, grandfather, and retired pharmacist, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025 at the age of 65. He was a man who embraced life fully, always living in the moment, sometimes a little too much, and capturing those moments through his passion for photography.

A man of many nicknames—Ken, Kenny, KP, Kpizzle, NeNe—but his favorite by far was “Pops,” a name that reflected the love and closeness he shared with his family.

Known for his warm spirit and love for togetherness, Ken especially enjoyed spending time at local festivals and dining with family. Whether behind the camera lens or at the dinner table, he found joy in connection and celebration.

Survived by his loving children, Jessica McReynolds and Kyle Richard(Alix #1). He was a proud grandfather to Myles Richard, Ayden McReynolds, and Remy Richard, each of whom brought immense joy to his life.

He is also survived by his mother, Gladys Savoie; his sister, Karen Guillot (Al); and his brother, Lester Richard Jr. (Lesa), along with many nieces and nephews that he held close to his heart. Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Lester Richard, stepfather Desmond Savoie, and “Maw-Maw Toups”.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Interment will be private.
