Kermit Joseph Ortolano Sr.

Kermit Joseph Ortolano, Sr. (Paw, Pops, Big Daddy, Slick) peacefully went to be with his Lord at his home on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the age of 65 after years of Illnesses he battled. He leaves behind his family who we called our hero. Beloved husband of Tammy Beard Ortolano for 45 years. Father of Kermit Joseph Ortolano, Jr. (Schantelle) and Kristopher James Ortolano. Leaving behind his three grandchildren, who were his eyes, Alisha Marie Ortolano, Addison Marie Ortolano, and Kermit Joseph Ortolano III. He was born on February 28, 1959 to the late Jacqueline Ida Lancon and the late Floyd Rudy Ortolano. Brother of Anna Ortolano, Lea Sullivan (Jim), Gina Stephens (Geoff), Annette Eccles ( the late Walter Eccles), Yvette Burrows (Roger), Damien Ortolano, Norris Ortolano, and Licia Duffy (Terry). Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He had a strong faith and believed in helping anyone anytime no matter what. The family would also love to thank his Ochsner doctors whom are numerous, especially his best friends, Dr. Raj Patel, Dr. Natalie Bzowej, Dr. Michael Bernard, Dr. Laura Nicosia, Dr. Tamekia Webb, and all his other doctors. We will miss our special guy. We know in our hearts you are not suffering in daily pain. May God wrap his arms around you. Relatives and friends of the family, also the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers members are invited to attend the Visitation on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 9am until 11am at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Exwy., Harvey, LA.
