Kevin Michael Chiasson

Kevin Michael Chiasson entered into eternal rest in Heaven on August 13, 2012 after battling a good fight with leukemia. He passed away in his own home, surrounded by his devoted family. He was the son of Gus Chiasson and Joyce Encardes Chiasson. He will be sincerely missed by his sister Karen Chiasson Brown and brother-in-law, Steven Brown; brother Troy Chiasson and sister-in-law, Tiffanie Thibodeaux Chiasson. He is survived by his beloved godchildren Paula Tacea Duchmann. Ashley Brown, Rebecca Merritt, and Peyton Chiasson. Godchild of Leah Tacea and the late Edward Chiasson. He also has numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins He was a 1982 graduate of Ehret High School and a graduate of the University of New Orleans. He worked for Winn-Dixie for 28 years and shared his time volunteering for Ochsner Foundation Hospital and The Leukemia Society. He was a regular attendant of the Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Westwego, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. His love for God guided him through all of his difficult times.
Relatives, friends, members and employees of Winn-Dixie, Holy Guardian Angels Church, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, West Jefferson Medical Center, Westcare, Songy Kindergarten Center, Joshua Butler School, Avondale Shipyard, Bridge City Senior Center are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Westwego on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 11 AM. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will take place at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday from 6 PM to 10 PM, resuming on Thursday from 8 AM to 10:30 AM.
