It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Kirk John Frickey, Sr., our beloved husband, father, pawpaw, great-pawpaw, and brother, on March 1, 2025, at the age of 61. Kirk is survived by his loving wife Cindy; his children Tiffany Rabalais (Robert), Billy Lay, Stephanie Bullock (Tony), and Kirk Jr. (Dominique); grandchildren Lauren, Hailey, Jullien, Castor and Dominic; great-grandchildren Teddie, Landon, and Vince; siblings Kendall Frickey (Meredith), Shane Everett (Ron), and Sheryl Schneider (Scott). He was also the uncle to many nieces and nephews. Kirk was born to the late Coral J. Frickey and Sheran Bourgeois Frickey on September 30, 1963, in Westwego, LA. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Alanna Frickey. Kirk was a lifelong resident of Westwego, spending his younger years working side by side with his family on their trawl boat “St. Marie”. After hanging up his shrimp boots, he began a career as a mechanic, ending at the Coca-Cola Company plant in Harahan, LA. In his free time, you could find him on the water fishing or in the kitchen cooking a variety of Cajun dishes. He began each morning spending quiet time with Jesus reading his favorite verses, Psalms 23 and 91.
