Lacey Nikole Ditcharo

January 28, 1990 — May 13, 2023

Lacey Nikole Ditcharo was born on January 28, 1990 and passed away on May 13, 2023, which was a very very sad day.  She will be deeply missed by family and friends of the family.  She loved life.  She was so good to people.  She would give her clothes and shoes away and come home only with her socks on.  She had the cutest smile and beautiful teeth and the longest black eyelashes.  She liked getting her hair colored with blonde highlights.  She wore glitter fingernail polish.  She loved to go shopping for clothes and would buy 3 pairs of shoes at one time.  She loved family holidays, opening presents and Easter egg hunts and most of all the New Year’s Eve fireworks.  Her favorite holiday was Halloween.  As a child she was a cat devil witch.  As she got older, she wore sexy costumes.  She loved Michael Meyers Movies.  She saw everyone and sometimes twice.  She was a very happy child, always smiling and playing with her toys, having big birthday parties and opening her presents.  She was never a cry baby.  She had her normal childhood ailments, measles, chicken pox and mumps.  She did have her appendix surgery.  She was in a terrible accident.  When she was in her early twenties, her car was totaled but it wasn’t her time to leave this earth.  That would come later in her life.  She played sports for Terrytown Academy. She was also a cheerleader for Terrytown and Immaculate Conception.  She went to private and Catholic Schools.  She was christened and made her First Communion with the biggest party with family and friends.  She loved go-carts and expensive cars. She loved jet skiing, going to the gym, walking for hours with her cell phone listening to music.  She loved getting fast foods, Mexican was her favorite.  She loved animals; she had ducks, rabbits, kittens and plenty dogs.  She rode the float for Chocktaw for Mardi Gras.  She would spend hours at the skating rink and playing at Chuck E. Cheese.  She was a Junior Bride for a family wedding.   She loved her “Paw-Paw” Dominick.  He was always doing things together.  He put her first bike together, carving pumpkins for Halloween, coloring Easter eggs and decorating the house for every holiday while “Maw-Maw” did the inside and also did all the cooking.  People who knew her said she never had a mean bone in her body.  She was always giving to people, never hurting anyone.  She would always give money to people who were begging on the streets, always giving money to the homeless Veterans who were on the same corner.  She had a very kind heart.  Last but not least, she was so excited to be chosen with 3 other kids in 8th grade to go to Washington to lay the wreath on the Unknown Soldier.  We flew to Washington; which was her first time flying.  We visited Arlington Cemetery, the Capitol and the Wall with all the names of the deceased Soldiers.  We could not get into the White House for some reason, but she has some pictures of her and some friends standing in front of The White House.  She was a very shy person.  She only had a very few close friends.  She had more happy crazy times with her “Maw-Maw” Joann and her Aunts Angie and Gloria and her Puppy named Angel.  She was also blessed with having a beautiful son, Julian Dupre.  He is 4 years old.  Lacey, you will be loved and missed always and forever.  “Rest In Peace Now Lacey”.  You are in God’s Hands Now.  He will always hold and protect you. She is also survived by her father, "Rocky" Dominick Ditcharo, III; her siblings, Evan Ditcharo, Gavin Ditcharo and Giovani Malta; her Cousin, Mary More; her Uncles and Aunts, Angie Baldwin, Gloria O'Brien, Derek Jude Ditcharo and Misty Ditcharo and her "Maw-Maw", Joann Cangelosi Ditcharo.  She is preceded in death by her "Paw-Paw", Dominick Ditcharo, Jr. and Dean Thompson; her Cousins, Julian Taulli and Gina Marie Baldwin and her Nanny, Joy Lynn Thompson.  Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Gathering at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Saturday, November 25, 2023 beginning at 10:30AM until 1:30PM.  Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 1PM.  A Memorial Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:30PM.  Interment will take place at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.  Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com.
