Larry H. Mccoy

Larry H. McCoy, a retired firefighter with New Orleans Fire Department passed away on Valentine’s Day 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 67 years to the late Vivian Tingstrom McCoy. Father of Jan Gennusa (late Husband, Don), Jean McCoy (Kristi Hanson), Jamie Breitling and the late Michael McCoy (Wife, Dina). Beloved son of the late Juanita Crespo McCoy and Willard “Mac” McCoy. Brother of the late Elmer McCoy. Survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Age 91 years; Larry is a Native of Algiers, LA and a resident of Terrytown, LA. He was a graduate of Martin Behrman High School; a World War II Naval Air Force Veteran and he joined the New Orleans Fire Department in 1946 where he retired after many years at the Rank of Operator. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Monday, February 18, 2013 from 9:30AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
