Laura “Smitty” Hanggi-Myers Hamilton Phd., passed away on Saturday, February 23,2013 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late DeWitt C. Hamilton, Jr. Mother of Thomas M. Smith, Cameron M. Smith and Jennifer A. Smith. Daughter of the late Alice Hanggi-Myers and Glenn L. Myers. Sister of Elaine Adams, Wilma Tays, Calvin Myers, Donald Myers, and Nancy Hinkley. Grandmother of Trevor Smith, MacKenzie Marble, Corrine Smith and Courtney Cunningham and Kevin Smith. Great grandmother of Cyiah, Cailin, Haeley, Jaydon, Isabel, Lexi and Gabriel. A native of Michigan and a resident of New Orleans for the past 40 years. A private memorial service will be held.
