Laura Armentrout Hutcheson

April 13, 1942 — February 7, 2013

Laura Armentrout Hutcheson passed away on February 7, 2013 at the age of 70 years. Beloved wife of Alvin L. Hutcheson, Sr. Mother of Kenneth Alexander and his wife, Debbie and Tory Lynn Matthews and her husband Ben. Step-mother of Alvin Lee Hutcheson, Jr. Grandmother of Dana Matthews Pugh, Kristin and Hope Alexander. Great-grandmother of Bryson Cole Matthews. Sister of Doris Kelley, Alan Lee Armentrout and the late Leonard Armentrout. Daughter of the late Alma Lee Sapp Armentrout and Leonard Armentrout.
Laura loved animals from a very young age and was always bringing them home. She served her community as a Board member of Plaquemines Animal Welfare Society “P.A.W.S.” and held offices of Vice-President and Treasurer. As a woman of faith, she was active with the Belle Chasse United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday, February 11, 2013 from 9 AM to 11 AM. Services will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park. Donations in her memory may be made to the Plaquemines Animal Welfare Society ( www.paws4life.org ) or the American Lung Association ( www.lung.org ).
