Lawrence Hendren Hennessey, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, July 5, 2013. Age 77. Beloved husband of Alice Wilson-Hennessey for 12 years. Loving father of Michael Hennessey, Maureen H. O’Rourke (Bryan), Margaret H. Murray (Bradley), Catherine H. Miller (Charles), Shawn Hennessey (Cheri), Mary Patricia H. Miller (Bryan), James Hennessey, Bridget Kaminski, Blythe Baranko (Peter), John Wilson, Jr. (Tanya), Michelle W. Grosch (Todd) and Robert Wilson (Sarah). Brother of Joan H. Koestler, John A. Hennessey (Joy Ann) and Catherine H. Mulhern (Mike). Also survived by 27 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Son of the late Margaret Haile and Lawrence H. Hennessey, Sr. A native of Vicksburg, MS and a resident of Mandeville, LA. Mr. Hennessey was a 1957 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He retired from a career selling Insurance and was lovingly known as the “Best Life Insurance Salesman Ever.” His family wishes to thank Hospice of Notre Dame.
