Lawrence P. Mitchell

Lawrence P. “Chew” Mitchell, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Lula Mae Voiselle Mitchell. Son of the late Telisma Mitchell and Emma Smith Mitchell. Father of Anthony, Linda, Joe Lee, Juanita, Michael, Lawrence Jr., Debbie, Charles, David, Cindy, Jenny, Angie, Roger and the late Kenny. Survived by 34 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Brother of Leroy, Josephine, Mabel and the late Leon, Wilclif, Lena and Ella. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Lawrence is a retired welder from Avondale Shipyards. “You are now reunited with the love of your life.” Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at The Church of Infant Jesus, 700 Maple St., Harvey, LA on Saturday, January 7, 2011 at 11 AM.
