Lee Ronald Beckstrom

Lee Ronald Beckstrom, 67, passed away peacefully at home on August 8, 2012, with his loving and devoted wife, Bernadette Macafore Beckstrom, by his side. Lee and Bernadette would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on August 12.
He was born in Huntington Park, California, on September 27, 1944. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Leon Beckstrom and Anna Conn Beckstrom, his twin brother Lyn Donald Beckstrom, sister Jeanne Beckstrom Foster and brother-in-law Harley Foster.
He was a 1962 graduate of South Gate High School in South Gate, California. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967, and built a career in the title insurance business for nearly 30 years in Los Angeles. Lee relocated to Louisiana in 1991, and worked for the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals in New Orleans until his retirement in 2006.
He is survived by his dearly beloved wife, Bernadette, and his loving sons Michael Lee and Timothy Darin (Jenese).
He is also survived by brothers Robert (Gloria) and James (Carmen) of California, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their special thanks and gratitude for the support of sisters-in-law, Frances, Maryaline and Vickie, and all those who helped us during this most difficult time. Lee leaves an enormous hole in our hearts. His compassionate and loving nature will forever be treasured.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Graveside Services which will be held at Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue in Gretna on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 for 10 AM.
