Leonard "Jim" Cormier

Leonard “Jim” Cormier, age 72 entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Beloved husband of Rita Gregory Cormier for 51 years. Son of the late Leonard Cormier and Mary Josephine Ordoyne Cormier. Loving father of Jennifer C. French (Scott), Jeffrey L. Cormier (Emily) and Rebecca C. Plaisance (Kevin). Grandfather of Lee (Amber), Anthony, Matthew, Brooke, Madison, Mason, Claire, Molly, Carter and Tanner. Brother of the late Lillian C. Floyd. Jim is also survived by 4 nieces. He retired as an electrician from the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff’s Office. He also worked for 15 years for LP&L. He was born in Buras, LA and resided in Marrero, LA for the past 49 years. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 9:30AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to The American Cancer Society, P.O.
