Leroy Fontenot

Leroy Fontenot, a native of Opelousas, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of Malvina Dubois Benoit Fontenot. Loving father of Larry Fontenot (Judy), Gary Fontenot (Gail), Darlene Hutchinson (Dave) and Charlene Zeigler (Brett). Step father of Cheryl Morvant (Steve Broussard), Rickie and Robin Benoit, Marlene Babin (Michael Bertolet), Karen and Lionel Caulfield, Pamela and Timothy Danos, Chris and Daphnie Benoit. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 16 step grandchildren, 22 step great grandchildren and 4 step great great grandchildren. Son of the late Ella Joubert and Ducroix Fontenot.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 11 AM until 1:30 PM. The Funeral Service will follow at 1:30 PM. Interment, St. Pius X Mausoleum, Crown Point, LA.
