Leslie Peter Gallo

Leslie “Les” Gallo was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and spent his life in Marrero and Belle Chasse before retiring to Amite, Louisiana. He passed peacefully on April 1, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Helen Gallo and his beloved wife, Darleen Arbo Gallo. Leslie’s siblings are Donna Gallo (Emerson) and Gilda Debelo (Francis). He is the father to Michael Gallo (Jackelyn), Angel Gallo and his stepsons, Darren Crysup and David Crysup. Les also has seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew, Jeffrey, Darleen, Caitin, David (DJ) and Matthew as well as several great grandchildren. His loving canine companion, Maxx was always at his side.

Leslie was proud of his work as an electrician and formed many fond friendships “on the job.” His passion was competitive shooting in which he earned countless awards and accolades. Additionally, he found enjoyment in motorbikes and fishing. When not working, Les and Darleen could be found vacationing in Las Vegas or on an occasional cruise.

Family and friends of Leslie Peter Gallo are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 10AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1PM. He will be laid to rest at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
