Lester J. Breaux passed away peacefully, Friday, November 16, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was 88 years old. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Louise Rogers Breaux; his parents, Edgard and Lelia Braud and 9 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his brother, Junius Braud and his sister, Eula Prector; his children, Lelia Vedros (Jackie), Leslie Richard (Donald), Ralph Breaux, Sr. (the late Bonnie Breaux) and Ava Gomez (Wayne); 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was a lifelong resident of Marrero and a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, a veteran of World War II, a member of the Carpenter’s Local Union #1846 and the VFW Post 6793. He will be remembered for his strength, courage and his long walks and most of all his bebop hats. Special thanks to the staff and residents of Wynhoven Health Care Center for their care and compassion during his stay there. Family and friends and especially employees from Jefferson Parish Clerk of Courts Office, Herzing University, General Marine Service and Steward and Stevenson are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 from 8AM until 10:30AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Immacualte Conception Catholic Church, Marrero, LA on Wednesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
