Letha Ann Morgan Barrois Lewis, December 28, 1932 - June 4, 2016 at age 83, died peacefully in her sleep while residing in Ponchatoula, LA. She was the wife of the late Kenneth B. Barrois, Sr. of Boothville, LA, and the current wife of Verlin C. "Bud" Lewis of Kansas. She is survived by her children: Dianna Lynn Barrois Kercher, Kenneth B. Barrois, Jr. (wife Eva), Linda Rose Barrois, and Mancil Joseph Barrois, II (wife Terry), also nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was the daughter of the late Paul Morgan, Jr. and Alma Fortunia of Boothville, LA. She was a lifelong resident and owner operator of The Little Fish Restaurant, Bar, & Motel (Dancehall) that was located in Boothville, LA from 1958 through 2005. Hosting many local area bands during the days of the Louisiana Hayride, including many well-known Country & Western Music Legends through 1969. She was a businesswoman that welcomed all to the Little Fish and worked hard to serve a high quality meal with legendary entertainment through her 47 years in business.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 beginning at 9:00 am at Mothe Funeral Homes, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA 70058, followed by Religious Service in the Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery in Buras, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
