Lillian Elizabeth Hyde Cook, also known as "Beth", went home to be with God surrounded by her family on December 16, 2024. Born on March 26, 1934 in Monroe, Louisiana, she was one of seven siblings to Crawford Hyde Jr., Gloria Hoffman, Libby Ainsworth, Carolyn Wilson, Debbie Smith, and Anita Dawson. She met the love of her life of 50 years, Robert Utah Cook. They spent their lives in Belle Chasse, LA. Together they had one son, Kenneth Utah Cook. Beth's life was filled with love, laughter, and family. She spent every football season cheering for her Saints. In later years, Beth was involved in Ochsner Health Golden Opportunity, "The Dew Family" motorhome group, and her Pokeno group. Beth's infectious smile would light up a room. She leaves behind great memories of laugher and love by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Kenneth; her parents Jessie Lee Hyde and Crawford Hyde Sr.; brother, Crawford Hyde Jr.; and sisters Anita Dawson, Gloria Hoffman, Libby Ainsworth, and Debbie Smith. Beth leaves behind her grandson KennethRobert Cook (Katie Hart), sister Carolyn Wilson, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, close family friend Gary Becker and friends.
Visitation will be held on December 28, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Harvey-Mothe Funeral Homes, LLC, located at 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA 70058. Following visitation, an interment will take place at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, 19361 28th St., Long Beach, MS 39560, starting at 1:30 PM.
