Lincoln Firmin, affectionately known as "Yank," passed away on January 12, 2025, in Waggaman, Louisiana. Born on June 5, 1933, Lincoln lived a life characterized by hard work, musical passion, and unwavering dedication to his family. He devoted more than 50 years of his life to the construction industry, where he became well-respected for his skills and commitment to excellence.

In addition to his professional achievements, Lincoln cherished his time playing bass in a band, where he shared his love of music with friends and family. He took great joy in visiting casinos, where he enjoyed playing blackjack, often accompanied by those dear to him, including his musicians friends Joe and Winston. He was known for his generous spirit, always willing to lend a hand to those in need and ensuring that his family was well-provided for both emotionally and materially.

Lincoln proudly served in the United States Army, a testament to his strong sense of duty and service. His character was defined by a hardworking nature and a commitment to always supporting those around him.

He leaves behind his sons, Tim Firmin and Michael Firmin, along with his grandchildren: Jesse Firmin, Renny Firmin Palmisano, Timothy Firmin II, Janna Firmin, Daniel Firmin, and David Firmin.

Lincoln is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Firmin, and his son, Russ Firmin.

His family would like to invite all who knew and loved Lincoln to celebrate his life. A viewing will be held on January 18, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Marrero - Mothe Funeral Homes, LLC, located at 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA. A Mass will follow from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, followed by his burial at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale, LA, at 2:15 PM.

Lincoln Firmin will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him, as a man who lived life fully and selflessly, and a pillar of strength for his family.
