Lt. Col Lionel Anthony Boudreaux Usaf Ret.

Lt. Col. Lionel Anthony Boudreaux, USAF (Ret.) a native of Houma, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA, died Friday, November 7, 2014 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Veronica Roberts Boudreaux for 52 years. Loving father of Lionel A. Boudreaux, III (Renee), Nicole B. Hymel (Carrel) and Gabrielle Boudreaux. Grandfather of Captain Aftan B. Anson, USAF (Captain Josh Anson, USAF), Kayla B. Falgoust (Ryan), C. J. Hymel , IV, Carra Hymel, Nicholas Hymel and Brody Wehmeyer. Great grandfather of Knox A. Falgoust and one expected great grandchild, Nash M. Falgoust. Brother of Randy Boudreaux and the late Sandra Boudreaux. Son of the late Lionel J. Boudreaux and Alice Aucoin Boudreaux.
Lt. Col. Boudreaux was retired from the U.S. Airforce having flown 285 combat missions in Vietnam. Lt. Col. was awarded the Louisiana Honor Medal for Veterans. He was also the owner of Boudreaux & Assoc. Insurance Agency. Lionel was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, Immaculata Council 4222 and Rev. T.J. Larkin 4th Degree Assembly 322 and served as Past Grand Knight, Past District Deputy and K of C Louisiana State Representative. He was instrumental in leading the council to becoming #1 in the state. Mr. Lionel was a member of the Lions Club of Marrero and was awarded the Melvin Jones Award for his service.
Relatives and friends of the family, also members of the above named organizations are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 10 AM until 1:30 PM. The Funeral Service will follow at 1:30 PM. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
