Lloyd Robert Leaber Jr

Lloyd R. Leaber, Jr. passed away one week before his 82nd birthday. He entered into eternal rest surrounded by his wife, daughter, granddaughter, and sister. Lloyd was a native of Marrero, Louisiana. He lived in Gretna, LA for the past 61 years.

Lloyd is the husband of 61 years to Elaine Pfeiffer Leaber. He is the son of the late Lloyd R. Leaber, Sr. and Laura Mae Autin Leaber. Loving father to his only child, Terri Leaber Pennison, and devoted grandfather to his only grandchild, Megan Leaber (Joshua). Loving brother to his sister Barbara Leaber Chiasson and uncle to Melissa Hughes. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Evelyn Pfeiffer White, his niece Nicole White Nieves (Derek) and nephew, Konley Smith. Great uncle to Gabrielle Pizani and Laurie Nieves.

After retiring from his own business of 25 years in the flooring industry, Lloyd enjoyed golfing, traveling, riding on his tractor, and watching sports. But his family came first and spending time with them was always his priority. He was the rock of his family and will be missed greatly.

Lloyd was a member of St. Anthony Church in Gretna. He also belonged to the Ochsner Golden Opportunity Westbank Club. He previously held the office of president at the Westwego Rotary Club. Lloyd will be remembered for his friendly nature, sense of humor, and devotion to his family.

His funeral services will be held on January 16, 2025 at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1255 Whitney Ave., Gretna, LA.
