Logan Lucien Lefort, age 71 years, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. He was a lifelong resident of Westwego, LA. Preceded in death by his parents, Etienne L. Lefort and Gertie Adams-Lefort.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Linda; two children, Tate Lefort and Monique Lefort-Nguyen. Beloved brother of Rose Lefort-Valence (Andy), Betty Lefort-Bye (Bobby) and Milton Lefort (Geraldine) of Westwego, LA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Tate Lefort, Jr., Rebecca Lefort, Zachary Nguyen and Blake Nguyen as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Logan retired from Avondale Shipyards after 30 years of service. He later became a successful business owner of the Pickin Box Seafood in Westwego for 25 years. Logan was a light-hearted man, had an infectious sense of humor and could always put a smile on your face. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives, friends, patrons of the Pickin Box and employees/retirees of Avondale Shipyard are invited to attend the Funeral Services in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 11 AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Westwego. Visitation will take place on Monday from 6 PM to 9 PM, resuming on Tuesday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
