Lois Poirier Hymel

Lois Poirier Hymel passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the age of 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Harold "H.P." Hymel. Mother of Nadine H. Dickey (Chuck), Darryl P. Hymel (Donna), Sybil H. Dambach (Robby), David M. Hymel (Cheryl), and Brent P. Hymel (Linda). Daughter of the late Irma Guidry Poirier and Rene L. Poirier. Sister of the late Clemence P. Barrios, Mabel P. Smith, Rene L. Poirrier, Jr., and Frances Poirier. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was a native of St. James Parish and a lifelong resident of Westwego, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also members of the Jefferson Parish Golden Agers-Nicholson Club are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 12noon at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 146 Fourth St., Westwego, LA. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:30am until 12noon. Interment, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Jan and Danita for the loving and gentle care they provided.
