Lois Adams Schank

October 30, 1919 — July 8, 2012

Lois Adams Schank entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late William J. Schank, Sr. Daughter of the late John Henry Adams and Florence Rose Adams. Mother of William J. “Billy” Schank, Jr. (Wife Brenda) and Gwendolyn Schank Anderson (Husband Jerry). Grandmother of Chris Anderson (Wife Kelly), Pauline Colter (Husband Chris) and Melissa Schank and great grandmother of Xenia, Monet, Markus Schank; Chris and Kingston Colter; Chase and Cole Anderson. Sister of Alfred Adams, Byron Adams (Wife Yvonne), Harold Adams (Wife Joyce) and the late John Adams, Ronald Adams, Rosemary Craig and Dorothimae Wilson. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Lois was a School Teacher for Jefferson Parish Schools for 30 years having taught in Marrero Middle School and Immaculate Conception Elementary School. Lois “Ace Adams” was an Allstate Basketball Player. She was a lifelong resident of the Westbank and recently a resident of Mandeville, LA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 9AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Family and friends may view and sign the online guestbook at www.mothefunerals.com .
