Lorraine Sheila Downie passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the age of 68 years. Beloved wife of Kennedy "Ned" Downie. Mother of Suzanne Lynn Downie Chavez (Pablo), and Laura Ann Downie Adhikari (Prateek "Raj"). Daughter of the late Irene and John Howell. Sister of Margaret Howell Smith, Patricia Howell Canino and Jacqueline Howell Welser. Grandmother of Sierra Chavez, Prateek and Jayan Adhikari. A native of White Plains, N.Y and a resident of Gretna, LA for the past 42 years. Relatives and friends of the family, members of the St. Cletus Ladies Club, and fellow parishioners are invited to attend A Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 1pm. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6pm until 9pm and again on Wednesday morning from 11am until 1pm.
