Lorraine Anderson Gohrke

Lorraine Meta Anderson Gohrke entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Belle Chasse, La at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Clarence P. Gohrke for 46 years. Mother of Georgene Burt (Michael). Born in Chicago, IL on August 16, 1922 to the late Meta Gribnow Anderson and George Anderson. Sister of George Anderson, Arlene Holmes, and the late Jayne G. Paulus. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lorraine worked as a secretary in Chicago at Sheldon Machine Company and then as a devoted wife, homemaker, and loving mother. Her passions were baking, knitting, sewing, and gardening. The flower gardens at her Chicago home reflected her care with their blooms of beauty. She resided in Gretna, La for 15 years, and most recently Belle Chasse, LA. She will be sadly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverbend Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for all their care and dedication.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the Parlor of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 3 PM. Memorial Visitation will be from 1 PM until 3 PM.
