Louis Rodney Cuccia, Sr.

Louis Rodney Cuccia, Sr. entered peacefully into eternal life on Monday, September 22, 2014 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of his wife, Jewell Waguespack Cuccia, for over 59 years. He created a legacy of love with his 10 children Louis Jr., Craig (Lisa), Anthony, Glenn, Jewell (Timothy Falcon), Jay (Dorothy), Chris (Kathy), Bruce, David (Giselle), Dean, 29 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Son of the late Margaret and Anthony Cuccia, Sr. Survived by his siblings Dorothy Cuccia (late Edward Schmidt) , Anthony Cuccia, Jr., Robert Cuccia (Francis) , Diane Cuccia (Daniel McGovern) , Carolyn Cuccia (Micheal D’Antonio), Collette Cuccia and Catherine Cuccia (Jay Weil). Also, survived by host of many nieces and nephews. Louis served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was an Allstate agent for 40 years. He was a founding member of the NOGI Scuba Divers International, Inc. He was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends and always had room for one more. His love, devotion and passion for life has inspired us all. He will forever live in our hearts. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Visitation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 3500 Ames Boulevard, Marrero, La. on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am until Mass time at the church. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, in charge of arrangements.
