Louis J. Elliott

Louis J. Elliott passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Wida Molizon Elliott for 66 years and father of Kenneth Elliott. Father-in-law of Carol Elliott and Grandfather of Sean Elliott. Louis was born October 31, 1931 in Marrero, LA to Edward Elliott, Sr. and Rose Terrebonne Elliott who both preceded him in death. Also preceding Louis in death were his brothers, Edward Elliott, Jr. and Tilden Elliott, Sr. Louis is survived by his sister-in-law, Peggy Foster and was brother-in-law of the late Robert Foster. Louis was brother-in-law to Diane Elliott, wife of his brother Ed and the late Mary Elliott, wife of his brother Tilden. Louis lived in Marrero his entire life. He was a Construction Superintendent during his career and served in the United States Army as a Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post 7307. The family expresses gratitude to his caregiver, Joyce Thompson and all the kind caregivers of Home Instead who have taken care of him over the past three years. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 10AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1PM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Westwego, LA.
