Lurlene Taylor passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 21, 2011 age 81. Ex-wife of Lewis Herschel Taylor. Mother of Sherry Diane Hebert (Paul), and Gary Dean Taylor (Kathy). Grandmother of Angelique Carle (Louis), Sara Alexis Taylor, Brent Hebert (Aimee), Jessica T. Rouquette (Danilo), Jason Dean Taylor (Ashleigh). Sister of Erskin Fillingim (Judy) and the late Raymond Fillingim. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren and 1 expected. Daughter of the late Sam and Mallard Fillingim. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Eastern Star of Mobile, AL. A native of Leaf, MS and a resident of Terrytown, LA. Relatives and Friends of the Family, also Members of the New Orleans Baton Rouge Steamship Pilots Association and Parishioners of the First Baptist Church of Belle Chasse, LA are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 5PM until 9PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7PM. Interment will be on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 12 noon at Mobile Memorial Gardens, Mobile, AL. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society and American Heart Foundation on behalf of the family are preferred.
