Mabel Maness Meyer

Mabel Maness Meyer entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday, March 20, 2016 in the comfort of her home with her family. She was born on February 10, 1920 and was a lifelong resident of Gretna , LA. Beloved wife of the late Frank E. Meyer Jr. Loving mother of Erin Meyer Perdue (Kenny) and the late Michael J. Meyer (Pat). Grandmother of Erika Meyer, Kenneth Perdue and Anthony Perdue (Jessica). Great-grandmother of Jackson, Matthew and Luke Perdue. Sister of the late Thalba Maness Fink, Robbie, Frank, Alvin and George Maness. Daughter of the late Albertine Neubauer Maness and Robert L. Maness. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
She was a member of Algiers Little Theater, a charter member of Love Lutheran Church in Algiers , LA , A.A.R.P. Chapter 3357 and a dedicated volunteer of the Gretna Food Bank. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends but her life will be celebrated.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey , LA on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park . Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 PM to 9 PM, resuming on Tuesday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
