Madeline Taravella McGrew entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the age of 71. Beloved wife of James “Jimmy” McGrew, Sr. for the past 53 years. Loving and devoted mother of Julie McGrew Olsen (Chris Olsen), James “Jimmy” McGrew, Jr. and Joey McGrew (Kimberly). Daughter of the late Johnny and Clelie Taravella of Harvey, LA. Daughter- in-law of the late Gladys and Elix Plaisance. Grandmother of Brittani McGrew Milford (Cody), Cody Olsen, Hannah McGrew Creacy (Brent), Ethan Olsen, Abigail Olsen, Tanner Olsen, Chloe McGrew, Zachary Bauer and Devin Bauer. Great Grandmother of Harper Creacy. Sister of John Taravella, Jr. (Rosemary), Joycelyn Taravella Montagnino (Loreto) and the late Alvin Taravella (the late Charlene). Sister-in-law of Marietta McGrew Spearman. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Madeline graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1959. She was a lifelong resident of Harvey, LA. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 8:30AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
