Mae Allys "Poogie" Duvernay Baughman

Mae Allys ‘Poogie” Baughman passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the age of 97 surrounded by family.

She was born on March 25, 1927 in New Orleans, LA to the late Alice Josephine Ybos Duvernay & the late Samuel Broussard Duvernay. She was the sister of the late Una May Baughman, the late Burton Duvernay and the late Earl Duvernay. She was the beloved wife to the late Harold Edward Baughman for 42 years. She was a loving mother to daughters Terre Baughman &Karen "Dee-Dee" Boudreaux and son Kelly Baughman (Cheryl) . Loving grandmother to Tyler Boudreaux, Connor Boudreaux, Christine Baughman Adams (Jeff) & Mason Baughman. Loving Great Grandmother to Branson & Madelyn Baughman, Ava & Elijah Boudreaux, LynLeigh & Raylen Adams. 

She was always thinking of others. She loved to crochet and sew, making the clothing for her family and even her children's dolls. Always selfless and caring. She was truly loved by all and we will miss her dearly.

Services will be held on Friday, October 4th at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, La 70058. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 am, and the funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1255 Whitney Ave, Gretna, La.
