Mae Rita Lafort Chiasson

Mae Rita Lefort Chiasson, Age 89, on Monday April 21, 2014 entered into eternal rest. Born March 27, 1925 in Cutoff, LA and was a Westbank resident since 1943. Daughter of the late Alcee Lefort and Armena Danos Lefort. Devoted wife of the late Emile J. Chiasson Jr. Sister of Clarise Danos, and half sister of Lillian, Roosevelt, and the late Alcee Lefort Jr. She was the beloved mother of four boys: Travis Chiasson, Reed (Earline) Chiasson, Brian (Angie) Chiasson, and Kevin (Christine) Chiasson. Grandmother to Dawn Authement, Dayna Chiasson, Denise Perez, Courtney Malbrough, Tiffany Boudreaux, Brian Chiasson Jr., Devin Chiasson, Samantha Chiasson, and Kevin Chiasson Jr. Great-grandmother to Remy and Riley Authement, Yovani Perez, and Aidyn Boudreaux. The family wishes to thank the staff of Wynhoven Healthcare Center and Norte Dame Hospice Care for the tender care of her during a very difficult transit. In lieu of flowers Catholic Mass intentions in her honor is requested. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 9:30AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:30PM. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
